Help Shape the Future of Cool Aid!

Dear Families,

As many of you know, Cool Aid Society is still working hard to secure funding to continue offering free or low-cost programs for youth in our community. While we have been fortunate to receive emergency funding to support programming until the end of the school year, we are now planning for summer camps and working with organizations, potential corporate sponsors, and donors to make our programs sustainable long-term.

However, we are still facing funding challenges and need your feedback!

To help support the continuation of our programs, we are considering a “fee-for-service” model for specific 1-1.5 hour classes designed and led by amazing volunteers, teachers, and program leaders. These classes would be offered in 6-week increments, 1-2 days per week, and tailored to different age groups:

🎨 Ages 5-8

🎭 Ages 8-14

💡 Ages 14+

We would keep costs as affordable as possible, ranging from $125 - $250 per session, to allow youth to explore hands-on, engaging, and skill-building programs!

🌟 Potential Classes Include:

✂️ Sewing

🎨 Art – Exploring Different Mediums

🔬 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)

🧪 Chemistry Experiments

🏗️ Physics & Engineering Challenges

💡 Innovation & Creativity Labs

🖥️ Technology & Coding

📚 Homework Help & Study Support

🎯 Lasertag Strategy & Teamwork

🤝 Team Building Skills & Races

🚦 Learners Permit Study Sessions (Driver’s Ed Prep)

🕯️ Candle Workshop

☕ Mug Decorating & Pottery Workshops

🧼 Soap Making & Self-Care Creations

Why Are We Exploring This Model?

Our goal is to continue supporting youth while creating opportunities for them to learn practical skills, explore creativity, and build confidence. We strongly believe that engaging in structured activities improves mental health, builds independence, and helps youth develop a sense of accomplishment.

Additionally, maintaining these programs ensures that Cool Aid remains a safe space for all youth, where they can learn, connect, and feel supported in a welcoming environment.

✅ Classes would run Monday – Thursday.

🌟 Fridays would remain FREE thanks to FCSS, featuring drop-ins, fun nights out, and field trips.

We Need Your Input!

❤️ Yes, and I’d love to see specific classes offered! (Comment below)

😢 I’d love to, but the cost would be a barrier.

🙌 I support this idea but would need a subsidy option.

Your feedback is crucial as we work towards solutions that keep Cool Aid open and accessible to all families. Please vote, comment, and share your thoughts so we can build a program that works for our community! 💙
